Margaret (Maggie) Powell is a PhD student in the Earth and Environmental Engineering Department. She is interested in using dimensionality reduction techniques, including machine learning, for problems within atmospheric science. As a DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellow, she is also excited about leveraging high-performance computing and numerical simulations as part of her research. Maggie received her A.B. in Earth & Planetary Sciences from Harvard University, where she researched Arctic methane emissions.
